Due date of all gst annual return form has been extended to 30th june from 31st march.the decision to extend the due date is taken on 31st gst council meeting held on 22nd Dec 2018. how ever till now there is no update on forms to be used in gst annual return.
Some other major decision taken in 31st gst council meeting are - Extension to claim ITC for FY 2017-18 has been announced and the extended last date is 31st March, 2019
- New Single GST return to start from April 1, 2019 on trial basis - There will be only one GST return to be filed for your clients
- GSTR-9, 9A, 9C filing due date has been extended to 30th June, 2019. And below are a few changes to the forms:
- In GSTR-9, HSN summary for inward supplies may be declared for those individual invoice values which accounts for 10% or more of the total
- Provision made for taxpayers to verify 9C while uploading
- ITC cannot be availed in 9 and 9C
- No late fees for those filing GSTR-1/3B/4 for any previous months between 22nd December 2018 and 31st March 2019.
- Due date for GSTR-8 for the period Oct-Dec is extended upto 31st January 2019
- Composition scheme is going to be introduced for small service providers too. A decisive call to be taken in the next GST council meeting.
